Description
14" (36 cm.) Paper-Mache shoulderhead with rounded
facial shape and slightly elongated throat,painted
upper glancing blue eyes in defined eye
sockets,red and black upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth. She has an
original slender kid body with wooden lower
limbs,painted yellow shoes,and is wearing her
original rose silk and tulle gown with applique
ribbons trim,sateen petticoat,silk pantalets. Her
black sculpted hair is arranged in short casual
curls overall,and having scalloped-edge curls
framing the face. Condition: generally
excellent,some minor body repair. Comments:
Germany,circa 1850. Value Points: very well
defined facial modeling,original finish,and
original costume.
