Description
12" (30 cm.) Paper-Mache shoulder head with
painted facial features,large round dark
eyes,painted upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,closed mouth with center accent line. She
has a slender kid body and wooden lower limbs,with
painted shoes,and wears her original embroidered
tulle dress over cotton under-dress and
undergarments. Her black sculpted hair is arranged
in nine very full ringlet curls that fall low onto
her shoulders,and have deeply defined comb-marks.
Condition: very good,some typical craquelure.
Comments: Germany,circa 1850. Value Points: rare
coiffure,unusual facial painting with large
eyes,all original finish and costume.
