Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with very slender face,elongated throat,and
slightly pink-tinted complexion. She has black
sculpted hair in simple center part with three
uniform length finger curls just covering each
ear,and a formed chignon at the back. Her pale
blue painted eyes are enhanced by red and black
upper eyeliner and single stroke brows,there are
nostril accent dots on her aquiline nose and a
piquant smile with delicately upturned lips
corners. The lady has an early stitch-jointed
cloth body with kid arms,and is wearing an early
pale green silk gown with lace trim,14-karat gold
brooch,undergarments,slippers. Condition:
generally excellent,tiny repair at front corner
sew hole. Marks: (blue stamp). Comments: KPM
Berlin,circa 1865. Value Points: the elegant lady
is enhanced by rare variation of this
coiffure,more commonly found without the back chignon.
