Description
18" (46 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with solid
bald dome,painted dark blue small round eyes,red
and black upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,and tiny
closed mouth. She has a muslin stitch-jointed body
with porcelain limbs,and is wearing a lovely
delicate lawn cotton dress with patterned leaf
design,and undergarments. Her bald pate is
unglazed and has a center slit for wig placement
which is brunette human hair. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: German,circa 1870. Value
Points: rare construction detail and unusual
painting of eyes and mouth.
