Description
17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with oval-shaped face and elongated throat,painted
blue eyes,red and black upper
eyeliner,single-stroke brows,accented nostrils and
eye corners,closed mouth with center accent
line,and pierced ear lobes. She has a later muslin
body and porcelain limbs,and is wearing a lovely
plaid silk gown and undergarments. Her deeply
sculpted black hair has horizontal rolled curls at
the forehead forming into wide pouf wings at the
sides and captured at the back under a sculpted
gold snood which clasps at the nape and forms a
lower pageboy curl. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value
Points: elegant pose with beautiful hair
highlighted by stippling around the sides of face.
