Description
14" (36 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulder head
with oval face and elongated throat,painted
forward-gazing blue eyes,red and black upper
eyeliner,single stroke brown brows,and closed
mouth. She has a muslin stitch-jointed body and
leather arms,and is wearing a lovely antique
costume. Her hair is sculpted with wavy curls
framing the forehead,and held by a sculpted plait
at the crown that extends to eventually form into
a large coiled braid at the back of her head.
Condition: one-piece reglue on back shoulder plate
with overpaint,otherwise excellent. Comments:
Germany,circa 1865. Value Points: very rare
hand-pressed details with unusual very strong
complexion and rare caramel-brown color hair in
elaborate coiffure.
