Description
11" (28 cm.) overall,seated. A waist-up figure of
an adult lady with elaborately sculpted long
flowing hair under a tall soothsayer"s hat with
painted decorations,has painted dark grey eyes,red
and black upper eyeliner,long slender throat with
defined hollow,modeled bosom of naked upper
torso,sculpted "jeweled" necklace,is holding a
cockatoo with sculpted and painted feathers and
headdress,held by a sculpted leash. She has a
firmly stuffed lower torso and upper legs arranged
in seated position,and porcelain lower legs with
bent knees,painted rose leggings and slippers. The
woman is seated on her original Egyptian-style
chair. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
Germany. (may have Kister blue stamp under
costume). Comments: A.W.Fr. Kister,successor to
Dressel and Kister,circa 1910. Value Points:
extremely rare doll with exceptional quality of
sculpting and painting.
