Description
17" (43 cm.) Fine white porcelain shoulder head
depicting a slender-faced adult lady with
elongated throat,aquiline nose,small painted grey
eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,brown
brows,closed mouth with accent line between the
lips. She has sculpted hair in a very light brown
shade with defined painting of tendrils,the hair
smoothly drawn over her ears and into a tightly
braided chignon at the back decorated with
beading. She has an early muslin stitch-jointed
body,with kid lower arms,and is nicely re-dressed
in antique brown velvet. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: (crossed blue swords) W 7 b.62
(incised inside shoulder plate). Comments: KPM
Meissen,circa 1850. Value Points: rare early model
with superb refinement of expression,rare brown
hair and grey eyes,fully signed.
