Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with very slender elongated face,strong
throat,lightly tinted complexion,and having light
brown sculpted hair with striated painting that is
arranged away from the face is wide bouffant curls
above rolled curls,and crowned with a large
croissant-shaped curl with long looped curls
cascading below at the back of her head,decorated
by a gold-edged aqua ribbon. She has painted dark
blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,feathered
brows,closed mouth,muslin body with porcelain
limbs,and ivory gown. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: A. W. Fr. Kister,successor to
Dressel and Kister,circa 1890,Value Points: the
aristocratic presence of the lady is enhanced by
superb coiffure whose long looped curls suggest
her hair would be hip-length if
un-pinned,beautifully painted features.
