12" (30 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with slender elongated face turned
sideways,elongated throat,modeled
bosom,heavily-lidded downcast painted brown eyes
with red and black upper eyeliner,grey feathered
brows,aquiline nose with accented nostrils,and
closed mouth. She has grey sculpted hair loosely
waved from face and looped into a coiled chignon
at the back crown,and a later muslin
body,porcelain limbs,and peach taffeta dress.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Kister
blue symbol inside shoulder plate) W 4141
(incised) Comments: A.W.Fr. Kister,successor to
Dressel & Kister,circa 1900. Value Points: serene
expression beautifully complements the simple yet
elegant coiffure.
