Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with very patrician pose,her head slightly
turned,with elongated slender face and
throat,modeled bosom,painted dark grey eyes with
red and black upper eyeliner,feathered grey
brows,aquiline nose with accented nostrils,and
closed mouth with center accent line. Her highly
stylized grey hair with detailed striated
comb-marks is arranged with five vertical rolled
curls at each side of face centered by a high
crown that is decorated with curved plumes in
blue,red,purple and green,with long ringlet curls
falling low onto her back shoulders. She has a
muslin body with Kister porcelain hands,expressive
fingers,very fancy painted boots on porcelain
lower legs,and wears a lovely purple silk gown of
antique fabrics and trims. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: (Kister blue symbol inside

Kister,successor to Dressel & Kister,circa
1890,this rare shoulder head model matches the
half-doll model of the firm. Value Points:
