Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head depicting an
adult lady with oval shaped face and very
elongated throat,painted bright blue eyes,red and
black upper eyeliner,black single stroke
brows,closed mouth with center accent line,and
blushed cheeks. She has a muslin stitch-jointed
body and porcelain lower limbs with painted flat
black shoes,and wears a white cotton dress with
undergarments. Her black sculpted hair is arranged
with a row of scalloped curls at the forehead,with
long brushed-back hair behind her sculpted ears
forming into five stipple-edged curls low on her
shoulders,below a coiled braid at back of her
head. Condition: generally excellent. Comments;
Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: fine detail of
sculpting on petite model with rare coiffure.
