Description
17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady
with elongated throat,painted facial
features,large blue eyes,black and incised upper
eyeliner,single-stroke black brows,accented eye
corners and nostrils,closed mouth,and sculpted and
pierced ear lobes. She has an early muslin body
with porcelain lower limbs and painted flat black
shoes,and is wearing a green woolen suit and
undergarments. Her black sculpted hair is arranged
with fully-formed forehead bangs in deep curls and
edged with stippling detail,framing very full
waves that are captured at the back in a
flower-shaped chignon with one very long curl
falling onto her shoulders. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value
Points: rare coiffure with wonderful detail,deeply
