Description
20" (51 cm.) Lightly-tinted porcelain shoulder
head of adult lady with slender elongated throat
and perfectly oval face,painted blue upper
glancing eyes,red and black upper
eyeliner,accented nostrils,thick black
lashes,closed mouth with slightly upturned lip
corners. She has a muslin stitch-jointed body with
kid lower arms and is wearing a lovely antique
costume. Her black sculpted hair is arranged in a
center-part,combed smoothly around her face and
forming two very long braided plaits that create a
halo frame around her face and terminate at the
nape with a large sculpted bow. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870.
Value Points: superb and rare coiffure lends
softness to her patrician facial features; she
bears a blue ribbon award from UFDC convention.
