Description
3 " (9 cm.) Within a fabric covered oval case with
hinged side-closure and interior gilded ormolu
frame is a watercolor of an angular-faced woman
with strong cheek and jaw lines,having a
center-parted hair style with side curls and top
knot,and wearing a blue gown with tiny beaded
necklace and earrings. An old paper pinned to the
case reads "Aunt Eliza,Ma"s sister". Excellent
condition. American,circa 1835.
