Description
11" (28 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with rounded
facial shape has upper-glancing painted grey eyes
with red and black upper eyeliner,faint red lower
eyeliner,feathered brown brows,accented
nostrils,and closed mouth with center accent line.
He has an early muslin body with porcelain lower
limbs,expressive fingers,and painted white
stockings with magenta heeled shoes. His sculpted
brown hair is arranged in short tousled curls
overall the head with a hint of part on the
crown,and well-defined striations of hair.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (blue
crossed swords). Comments: KPM Meissen,their W8A
model,circa 1880. Value Points: very rare model
with superb quality of porcelain,sculpting and
painting,enhanced by soft blushing details on
nose,cheeks,chin and ear-lobes.
