Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with very
light pink tinted complexion,oval-shaped face,has
deep-blue painted eyes,red and black upper
eyeliner,single stroke brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with slightly upturned lips.
Her painted black hair is nearly entirely captured
in a sculpted fitted green bonnet with white
back,mauve edging,and decorations of mauve
ruffles,colorful flowers and purple neck ribbon.
She has an early muslin body with porcelain arms
and lower legs,painted green boots with mauve
tassels that match the bonnet,wearing antique
dotted Swiss muslin gown with green silk bows.
Condition: generally excellent,some paint rubs on
black hair. Marks: KPM (blue stamp inside shoulder
plate). Comments: KPM Berlin,circa 1850. Value
Points: rare model with maker"s
signature,colorfully decorated bonnet,with blue
ribbon award from 1986 UFDC competition.
