Description
12" (30 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head of adult
lady with oval face and elongated throat,painted
bright blue eyes with black upper
eyeliner,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed
mouth,and sculpted pierced ear tips. Her long
blonde hair is arranged in horizontal curls that
frame the face and are edged at the crown with a
glazed blue hair band and bow that is,in
turn,edged with a narrow braid and rolled bun. The
back of her head has tightly arranged curls above
a blue ribbon,and seven long ringlet curls that
fall onto her shoulders. She has a muslin
stitch-jointed body and bisque lower limbs,painted
black flat shoes,and is wearing a dainty white
cotton two piece gown with hand-embroidery on the
hem,antique undergarments,earrings. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa
1870,Conta & Boehme. Value Points: very rare
coiffure employing an imaginative construction of
varying curls,braids,ribbons and bows,especially
intriguing in this petite size.
