4 " (11 cm.) x 4". Within a chamfered-corner
mahogany frame is a miniature watercolor of a
woman with well-defined features including
shadowed eyes,ears,shaded lips,and center-parted
hair arranged in so-called "Apollo"s Knot" style
topped by a decorative comb at the crown.
American,mid-19th century. Excellent condition.
