Description
13" (33 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head lady with
modeled bosom,oval-shaped face slightly upturned
to the right,elongated strong throat,and,all
around the face and above the sculpted ears, having
very generous and lushly sculpted light brown
curls that appear to have "escaped" from the wide
gold-edged aqua hair ribbon that tried to capture
them. Her hair,at the back,is arranged in a
seemingly casual,yet quite deliberate,chignon with
a few loose curls tumbling onto her neck. She has
heavy-lidded painted brown eyes, red and black
upper eyeliner,light brown lashes,accented
nostrils, and closed mouth. She has an old muslin
body with porcelain lower legs and Kister
porcelain lower arms, and is costumed in a green
taffeta gown. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: (Kister blue symbol inside of shoulder
plate). Comments: A. W. Fr. Kister,successor to
Dressel and Kister,circa 1890.
