Description
14" (36 cm.) Un-tinted bisque shoulder head of
adult lady with perfectly oval face,elongated
throat,painted upper glancing blue eyes,red and
black upper eyeliner,single stroke brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center
accent line. She has darkest brown sculpted hair
with glazed and comb-mark highlights arranged in
flat-top with a single curl at each side of her
forehead,her hair waved away from face with just
tips of ears showing,molded hair band at the
crown,and nine long finger curls,two of which are
shorter over the ears,with two beneath that extend
farther onto the shoulders. She has a muslin
stitch-jointed body,bisque lower limbs with
unusual blue heeled boots,and is wearing an aqua
silk satin gown and undergarments. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa
1870,an undecorated identical model was located
under the floorboards of the Alt,Beck and
Gottschalck porcelain firm. Value Points: very
rare brown hair whose superb detail includes
stippling around the face.
