Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with slender facial and throat modeling,painted
blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,single
stroke brown brows,aquiline nose with accented
nostrils,and closed mouth. She has a muslin
stitch-jointed body with bisque lower
limbs,painted shoes,and wears a coral silk and
lace gown. Her blonde sculpted hair is arranged
with nine long finger curls onto her
shoulders,peeking from beneath a grey sculpted
pork-pie bonnet with black band,sculpted flower
and lustre purple plume. Condition: generally
excellent,one toe front broken. Comments:
attributed to Alt,Beck and Gottschalck,circa 1870.
Value Points: outstanding detail on the tiny size
model with superb sculpting of bonnet and
decorations,beautiful face.
