Description
7" (18 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with
oval-shaped face,painted blue eyes in slight
side-glancing expression,black and red upper
eyeliner,single stroke brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth and blushed cheeks. She has
an early hand-stitched leather body and is wearing
her original bronze-gold gown with brown velvet
trim,and undergarments. Her hair is an unusual
brown color,with centerpart and three generous
ringlet curls over each ear that are decorated by
a single rose with four leaves; the remainder of
her hair is drawn into a chignon at the back of
her head. Condition: generally excellent,some
over-paint on shoulder plate only. Comments:
Germany,circa 1850. Value Points: extremely rare
hair color and decoration especially on this tiny
size,unusual and original kid leather
body,original gown.
