Description
17" (43 cm.) Richly pink-tinted porcelain shoulder
head depicting an adult lady,slender oval face and
elongated throat,slightly modeled bosom,un-tinted
and unglazed solid dome with cut slit at the crown
for wig placement,heavily modeled eyelids with red
and black upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center
accent line,and early braided human hair wig. She
has an all-leather antique body with
stitch-jointing and stitched and separated
fingers,and is wearing a lovely changeable silk
taffeta gown,undergarments,leather shoes.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: wigged model
rare on this style of doll with unusual slit dome
construction for wig placement,very beautiful
sculpting of features with rich complexion patina.
The doll has two blue ribbon awards from UFDC
national conventions.
