Description
8" (20 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head inclined to
the side,having angular narrow face and elongated
throat with defined throat hollow and modeled
bosom,painted dark eyes,feathered
brows,eyeliner,and petite closed mouth. Her brown
sculpted hair is drawn backwards into wide
bouffant on each side fronted by an arranged
curl,and rolled curls at the crown cascade at the
back into two ringlet curls that extend from crown
to nape. Her body is muslin with porcelain lower
limbs,and she is wearing a pretty antique gown.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Kister
blue symbol inside shoulder plate). Comments:
A.W.Fr. Kister,successor to Dressel & Kister,circa
1890,rare dollhouse sized lady from that firm
indicates their production for that market as well
as classic sized models. Value Points: rare size
with beautifully appointed features and hair.
