Description
18" (46 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with lightly
pink-tinted complexion depicting a young
man,having oval-shaped face,strong elongated
throat,painted blue/grey eyes with black upper
eyeliner and pronounced circle accents at eye
corners,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed
mouth,and outlined lips. He has sculpted brown
hair in short side-parted fashion,brushed casually
across the forehead and having stippled details.
His kid gusset-jointed body has porcelain arms,and
he is wearing an early striped linen jacket and
trousers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
(illegible letters,possibly W/4,inscribed inside
shoulder plate). Comments: maker unknown,although
highly suggestive of KPM,circa 1860. Value Points:
superb quality of porcelain and painting,rare
brown hair.
