Description
16" (41 cm.) Arranged upon a wooden platform with lithographed paper cover and with attached background to suggest a mountainside village are six miniature bisque children seated on rocky knolls amidst mountainside foliage; each child with glass eyes, closed mouth, composition arms and legs, is holding a musical instrument, and, when wound, merry music plays and the children "play" their instruments and tap their feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: charming garden scene, with unusually well-detailed background scenery, pretty bisque faces, and unusual number of persons in the active scene.
