A chestnut-cased wooden shelf clock with Roman numeral designed porcelain face,is decorated atop by a seated fiddler,having paper-mache with painted features,mohair wig,silk costume,and holding a fidder. Movements and Music. He plays the fiddle in a vigorous animated way,nodding his head and tapping his foot. Music plays. Junghans,Germany,circa 1910,the style of clock known as Black Forest.
