Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket on corresponding bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, firmly-stuffed kid body with gusset-jointing at hips, wooden ball-jointing at knees, bisque arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent except restoration to hands, body especially sturdy and fresh. Marks: B 3 S. Comments: Blampoix, circa 1860. Value Points: brilliant cobalt blue eyes beautifully contrasts the pale complexion, rare neck style, rare body style, wearing antique moss green silk gown, undergarments, leather boots.
