12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass eyes with rich spiral threading,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,feathered brows,rose blushed eye shadow,accented nostrils,closed mouth with heart-
shaped accented lips,pierced ears,brunette hand-tied human hair wig,French composition and
wooden fully-jointed body,wearing pretty antique costume with coral dress,lace collar and
bonnet,leather slippers,stockings. Condition: generally excellent,body is appropriately sized and
of the same era,but not original. Marks: 13 5. Comments: Sonneberg,circa 1884,the doll was
created to compete with the French market,inspired by the Brevete model of Bru. Value Points:
especially dear child model whose shy expression is enhanced by beautiful painting and
bisque,lovely costume.
