Description
8" (20 cm.) largest. The extensive collection of card paper lithographed fans,each
different,ranges from tiny sizes designed for display with a fashion doll to examples 4"-8" in
width that could be placed in the hands of bebes. The fans are printed to appear as though
having classic folding blades and each is lithograph-decorated as though having a hand-painted
scene,silk ribbons,or floral applique. Several appear to be from series and three have fringed silk
edging. Germany,late 19th century. A superb collection in wonderful state of preservation.
