13" (33 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,extra neck articulation
allowing the head to tilt side to side and forward,cobalt blue glass eyes,painted lashes and lightly
feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced
ears,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,kid poupee body with shapely torso,gusset-jointed
limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Simonne (green stamp on torso). Comments: the
doll was commissioned by the prestige Paris doll shop of Simonne,circa 1865. Value Points: rare
stamp on body,the doll wears a very beautiful antique costume of black velvet over bronze
silk,undergarments,black velvet slippers,and superb headdress of embroidered black velvet and
silk which is arranged upon the head to allow the back of hair braids to be exhibited
