17" (43 cm.) Bisque head with brown glass eyes,painted lashes and brows in extravagant
manner,elongated nose,closed mouth with defined teeth,accented lips,pierced ears,blonde
mohair wig,presented on cloth-stuffed Polichinelle costume of fine gold and brown silk satin
decorated with gilt paper borders and garlands,composition lower limbs,glued on matching
shoes. Condition: generally excellent,later body and costume of antique material. Marks: Masson
SC Lorraine N20 A.L. & Co Limoges. Comments: Lanternier,circa 1920. Value Points: very
attractive and authentically styled Polichinelle costume on appropriately styled bisque head.
