Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber tinted complexion,brown glass sleep eyes,black
eyeliner and feathered brows,delicately painted lashes,open mouth,outlined lips,four porcelain
teeth,pierced ears,composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 1329 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 4. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1910,the doll
was created for exhibition purposes. Value Points: outstanding original silk costume with
elaborate coiffure arranged on jade carved frame and decorated with silk flowers and
butterflies,silk costume with elaborate trim including mirrored tassels,elaborate silk platform
shoes,and presented upon original silk covered wooden exhibition stand. The doll was featured
in Dimples and Sawdust on page 33.
