17" (43 cm.) Of fine black cotton sateen the tall slender doll has fully embroidered facial features
with outlined black eyes,brows,lips,moustache,black fleecy hair,and stitch-shaped body with
separately defined thumbs. Condition: generally excellent,some costume silk is frail. Comments:
mid-19th century. Value Points: wearing original elaborately detailed silk costume with rich
metallic gilt soutache and tassels,silk slippers,sequin trimmed velvet tie,silk collar. The doll
represents Moroccan royalty.
