11" (28 cm.) All-leather doll with stitch-attached oval shaped head,slender face,shaped
nose,cut-out eye sockets,painted black eyes,lashes and brows,tiny closed mouth,stitched-on
ears,black mohair wig in original coiffure under silk turban,hand-stitched shapely body with
defined bosom and tiny waist,separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent,right baby finger
worn away. Comments: for the French market,circa 1890,the model was depicted in the journal
L'Illustration of that era,maker unknown. Value Points: well preserved and rare doll with original
wig,turban,necklace,leather shoes,and having original undergarments and dress.
