19" (48 cm.) Pale bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and throat,blue glass eyes,dark eyeliner,delicately painted lashes,brush-stroked brows with feathered details,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips,painted row of teeth,blonde mohair wig over plaster pate,composition and wooden early fully-jointed body including jointed ankles,straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent,body repainted. Marks: 13. Comments: Kestner,circa 1884,the model closely resembles the "circle/dot" model of Leon Casimir Bru,hence is often referred to "Kestner Bru". Value Points: rare model with beautiful pale bisque,wearing pretty rose silk faille dress,undergarments,leather shoes resembling Bru shoes.
