12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with pale complexion,almond shaped blue glass eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,rose blushed eye shadow,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body,pretty antique costume. Condition: generally excellent,paint finish worn on upper legs,original body finish. Marks: 1. Comments: Sonneberg,circa 1885,the doll closely resembles the early portrait bebe by Jumeau,whose market the doll attempted to capture. Value Points: very beautiful doll with lovely pale bisque and soft subtle blushing.
