24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich sienna complexion,sculpted definition of painted brown upper glancing eyes,thick black upper eyeliner,incised eyeliner,sculpted scowl lines heightened by black painted curvy brows,strong nose,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with firmly set downcast lips framed by impressed frown lines at each corner,shaded and accented detail of lips,pierced ears,black mohair wig,sienna composition and wooden ball-jointed body,wearing antique buckskin tunic,pants,and moccasins with beaded trim. Marks: 1303 Germany S&H 4. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1910. Value Points: extremely rare model is virtually unknown in this size,this example having exemplary detail of sculpting and painting,achieving an artful portrait of regret.
