25" (64 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with pear-shaped modeling,very full cheeks,brown
glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,painted
curly lashes,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded
nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips,pierced
ears,brunette human hair wig,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body
with straight wrists. Condition: two faint hairlines at front crown rim that extend to eye brows.
Marks: Sch (shield) 4.5 (head) (also shield mark on derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa
1885. Value Points: lovely gentle expression with superb modeling,fine quality of bisque and
eyes,original body and body finish,antique costume.
