Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate,voluptuous modeling of
bosom,blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,very
firmly stuffed kid torso designed to accommodate bosom,shapely waist and derriere,bisque
arms from above the elbows with modeled left bent elbow,curled fingers,bisque legs to above
the knee including bisque high-heeled feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3.
Comments: from the original design by the theatrical costume husband and wife couple of
Georges Cordonnier and Marie Radiguet,deposed in 1880. The poupee was originally
conceived and described as "poupee-statuette",designed to model miniature versions of
theatrical costumes. Value Points: very rare doll with totally original superb body,beautifully
shaped bisque hands and legs,and wearing her original silk costume in the 18th century style.
