20" (51 cm.) One piece carved wooden head and torso with over-sized head,elongated
throat,sculpted black center-parted hair with long sideburns and comb-marked detail,sculpted
ears,painted large brown outlined eyes,small pointy nose,closed mouth,pin-jointing at shoulders
and hips of short wooden arms and legs,wearing velvet trousers,maroon wool jacket with collar
and tie,straw hat. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,19th century folk art
model; the doll has been archived at the Cleveland Museum of Art since 1937. Value points: fine
original condition of the charming wooden folk doll.
