16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass enamel inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,rose blushed eye shadow,feathered brows,accented nostrils
and eye corners,closed mouth with upturned lips corners,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over
cork pate,all-wooden shapely poupee body with swivel ball waist,dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips,knees and ankles. Condition: restoration at bottom of neck socket
at right side,slight body retouch on feet. Marks: F (head) Depose (forehead) F (shoulders).
Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1870,both the body and the model head were deposed by
the renown French doll maker. Value Points: especially beautiful face and painting of delicate
lips,luxury model of deposed wooden body.
