brows,black painted hair in side-parted style,muslin body with wooden lower hands. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope mission doll,circa 1920,representing a
Mourner in traditional hempen robes over white linen-like cotton mourning
clothes,slippers,hempen cap with braided straw borders. Value Points: rare model with superb
detail of carving,all original costume. The doll was acquired by the Cleveland Museum of Art in
1922
