Chip-carved wooden head with sculpted detail of hair and facial features,brown short bobbed hair,painted eyes,brows and mouth,wooden block torso with detachable carved and gilded wooden wings,wire upper arms and legs,carved wooden hands and lower legs. Condition: generally excellent,some age rubs to original painted finish. Comments: Tyrol (Austria/Germany),early 19th century. Value Points: rare figure with wonderful folk detail of carving,defined feathered wings,original silk,lace and gold thread costume,wooden base.
