14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of adult woman with oval-shaped face,very elongated
strong throat,sculpted black hair in very ornate fashion with four rolled curls at each of forehead
flanking an elaborately arranged braided Apollo Knot chignon at crown,exposed ears,painted
facial features,blue eyes,black brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent
line,blushed cheeks,slender kid body with wooden lower limbs,painted shoes,wearing fitted
brown silk dress of the period,undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Germany,circa 1840. Value Points: rare early model with very fine coiffure,expression.
