10" (25 cm.) Each has paper mache oval-shaped face with painted facial features,wooden block torso,jointed wooden arms with very elongated fingers,wire upper legs,wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent,few minor rubs on headdresses. Comments: Chinese theatrical dolls representing figures from Chinese opera,early 20th century. Value Points: outstanding costuming with richly embroidered silk,some with embroidered figures and others with birds or exotic flowers; the headdresses superbly detailed with faux-jewels and gold.
