21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump modeling of cheeks and jowls,large brown glass
paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,incised eyeliner,thick brush-
stroked brows,rose blushed eye shadow,accented nostrils,closed mouth,accented lips,defined
space between the lips,dimpled chin,pierced ears,wheat-blonde human hair hand-tied
wig,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body,antique costume. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: E. 8 D. Comments: Circa 1888,maker uncertain,the style of doll resembles
those of Delcroix although the signature is that of Denamur. Value Points: rare doll with mystery
markings,wonderful expression and sculpting,excellent detail of painting,original body and body
finish.
