10" (25 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head,brown sculpted hair in short boyish fashion,painted facial features,small blue painted eyes,lightly defined painted upper eyeliner and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with solemn expression on the accented lips,composition bent limb baby body,knit costume. Marks: Germany A S&C (incised) (and S&C green stamp on head). Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Swaine and Co,circa 1912. Value Points: rare model "A" is virtually unknown by this firm,has most appealing expression and fine quality of bisque.
