Of bamboo and wood,the detailed teahouse features exterior fence,lighted gateway,classic hipped roof,veranda with working sliding shoji doors with paper panes,separate well house,and is mounted on a square wooden base. Condition: generally excellent,minor losses. Comments: Japan,Showa era,1950s,miniature models of temples,homes,teahouses and other classic Japanese elements were popular souvenir items following the opening of Japan in the late 19th century. Value Points: superbly detailed and well preserved miniature dollhouse.
